2015 Cardboard Ball, YWCA Tucson, 525 N. Bonita Ave. 7 p.m.

It’s Time to get your Cardboard On! Benefit party for the All Souls Procession Workshops!

The Cardboard Ball is a uniquely Tucson event, an eclectic explosion of self-expression. Attendees create incredible cardboard fashions and wearable art. Some contribute amazing 2D and 3D works in cardboard and recycled materials. D.J.s and musicians deliver solid dance grooves. The adventurous battle for fame and glory in the Cardboard Joust!

This year held at YWCA on Bonita. The YWCA Cafe will be offering various forms of social lubrication, snacks, coffee, craft beer and award winning wines! Tickets Available Mid September at Yikes Toys on Broadway, Pop-cycle on 4th Ave and at the YWCA on Bonita. $10 in Advance $15 at the door the night of the event.

Carolyn’s note: Before recycling that cardboard at your house, create it into something to wear for this fun-filled Cardboard Ball. I dropped by last year at The Maker House and was amazed at the creativity of the costumes — male and female. Some were very elaborate, some were downright funny, others were revealing and yet tasteful. Check it out, get your pre-sale tickets for only $10 at the YWCA Tucson, Pop Cycle at 422 N. 4th Avenue, Yike’s Toys at 2930 E. Broadway Blvd.

As they say…”get yer cardboard on” (literally in costume).
