  1. Well attended, spirited concert today at Centennial Hall, with a pre-show film of “The World is Watching”, then song “This Little Light of Mine” by Ocotillo Early Learning Center students (pre-school?), followed by a blessing by Rabbi Avraham Alpert and Ms. Miasha Tate. Then Barbea Williams and her troupe danced “Endangered Species”, followed by a Negro spiritual by UA School of Dance students. Particularly moving were Letter from Birmingham Jail read by UA School of Theatre, Film & Television young women. The Finale were 5 songs arranged & directed by Kevin Hamilton, with his wife Tanishia and some youth ensemble singers. The audience was asked to stand, clap and dance along with several of these songs, all in memory of “love and unity” in memory of Dr. MLK Jr.

  2. Inauguration events in Tucson:

Women’s March–Tucson will assemble at Armory Park at 10 am. The mayor and others will give pre-March speeches. They will march to the Joel Valdez Library Plaza.
At the Library Plaza there will be a Solidarity Rally at noon. Cong. Grijalva, Councilor Romero, Supervisor Elias, others will speak.
