57 Percent of Americans Think Donald Trump Should Withdraw

From Biden Wins/Twitter

While the nonsensical drumbeat and quite frankly public push from Fair Weather Democrats to humiliate President Biden off the 2024 Presidential campaign the last few weeks has generated substantial news coverage, it should be remembered that a sizable majority of the country wants Donald Trump gone as well. The following chart released by the Associated Press reveals this.

That Democrats are willing to throw a person, who they admit has been a successful President whose Administration has been largely free from scandal, under the bus is astounding given what is left of the Republican Party has bent the knee to a 34 time convicted, twice impeached, two time popular vote loser, traitor, and reputed sexual assaulter and failed businessman.

The fact that many in the Democratic Party have publicly aired their concerns without taking steps to see if they could help their candidate is, in my opinion, a major reason the polls are they way they are right now.

What does it also say about the people who are blindly following the person who damned near destroyed the country during the Coronavirus, tanked the national economy, and had a hand in organizing the coup at the Nations Capitol when he did not like the 2020 election results.

Recent media coverage of Mr. Trump and his considerable flaws and issues has been abysmal. Just consider recent events including:

  • Virtually no one is asking for Trump’s medical reports following the attempted assassination last weekend.
  • Virtually no one made a big deal of Mr. Trump taking three days to call the widow of the man killed at the event.
  • Virtually no one is calling out Trump apparently staying up past his bed time as he has dozed off several times during the convention, including when his own Vice President pick and son were speaking.

It would appear Mr. Trump lacks the stamina to be President again.

He should get a cognitive and medical test and release the results.

Also remember that among that 57 percent number are many Republicans. The reason the Republican National Convention seems like a unified affair is because all the Never Trumper Republicans are not there and are mostly campaigning for Democrats to win in this cycle.

That includes Mr. Trump’s first Vice President, Mike Pence and many members of his administration along with several current and former members of Congress like Liz Cheney, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Adam Kinzinger, Paul Ryan, and Mitt Romney.

One would hope that the media will eventually get around to reporting again on Mr. Trump’s issues and inadequacies rather than participating in the bringing down of the person many have said has been a great President.

  1. I think if either one should drop out, then BOTH of them should. That said, it won’t happen so, I am a never Trump person and nothing can make me change my mind. Biden/Harris all the way. I staunchly believe they will win, I hope there are many silent people like me out there.

  2. I respect your opinion. I hope you publish mine.

When 80% of voters believe Biden is not up to finishing a second term that should be a warning sign for anyone. It’s not only his age, but his poor speech and hard to understand what he says. He halts in mid-sentence many times when he talks and then says “well anyway” or something like that.

Are you oblivious to these visible signs of some issue going on?
Democrats and Independents who tend to vote Democratic don’t think he should be running for the next term. He wasn’t originally planning to run, he told BET in an interview yesterday, but he changed his mind because he thought he was the best person to take on Trump. But things change, just like they do for everyone, and he is now not in condition to take on the most stressful job in the world for the next 4 years.

He’s on course to go down in flames and take the party with him. Why not re-set the campaign and replace him with either Harris or someone else and bring in some energy with a new VP pick who would bring some gravitas to the campaign, like someone like Mark Warner, who would not only help with Virginia but Midwestern states? At a minimum it would help Democrats try to keep the House if Trump is elected.

Let’s see if you have the moxie to print my comments.

    • Yeah. 80 percent feel that way because Congressional Democrats are doing a full self fulfilling prophecy by trashing Biden and then the polls go down. Great thinking fair weather ones. Great strategy.

      • Just checking for understanding here, David. “The people pointing out the obvious are obviously influencing the oblivious.”
I have an extra shovel if you need one.
