An auspicious day today- Feb. 11, 2022, to celebrate my 8 years of blogging here at BFAZ. Nowadays I mostly update our progressive Calendar, as I enjoy informing our readers about upcoming events throughout the State of Arizona. It’s quite a task as I am always on the lookout for Democratic and progressive political events, movies, etc. to help others promote our values and goals.
Some of you remember that I spent over 4.5 years as an online blogger promoting community events over at Tucsoncitizen.com, before Gannett pulled our website on Jan. 31, 2014. It took a few weeks, but I was then asked to join Blog for Arizona by AZ Blue Meanie, a fellow blogger in Tucson. I already knew founder Michael Bryan, a practicing attorney/prosecutor at that time, and also Pam Powers Hannley, one of BFAZ’s contributors as well. She also blogged at Tucsoncitzen.com, and later became a State Rep. from LD 9, for 3 terms.
So, let’s continue blogging into the New Year of the Tiger (Asian zodiac) 2022. Check out our events at:

I’m also promoting our BFAZ Shop, using the featured image of our large tote bag, which I now own. I also possess an older version of our t-shirt, and now the new face mask as well. Shop now at:

Blog for Arizona is fortunate to have Carolyn in its midst. She keeps me well informed.
Thanks Karyn. I do hear from others that they rely on our Blog for Arizona political calendar. I just like to post happenings which I feel that progressive people would like to attend. There are so many good groups out there doing terrific things for the community at large.
Thanks for your comments. I just remembered what a monumental task it was to publish events during the Trump 4 years, when there were numerous groups fighting back on his policies and actions. There was no vacation time then.
You are such a jewel, Carolyn! Thanks for your dedication and consistency!
Wow, high praise indeed. I guess I won’t ask for a pay raise after all. Thanks.
Thank you, Carolyn, for your tireless work for Dems and for culture in the Tucson area.
CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK You!
