A Tucson Block Party, located here at Children’s Museum Tucson, and finally she will head to The University of Arizona.
We are teaming up with Arizona Arts Live to welcome Amal and to share her story with everyone in our beautiful community.”
Amal will be at The Children’s Museum, 200 S. 6th Avenue in downtown Tucson on Oct. 28, 11 to 1 p.m. Schedule below.
UPDATE: Recent media reports have Amal at the UA at 4:30 p.m. and not as early as 1 p.m. So be aware.

Amal arrived shortly after 11 a.m. at the Children’s Museum Tucson downtown, where there was a children’s fiesta ongoing since 9 a.m. with activity & info booths and food trucks. She walked easily through Armory Park followed by hundreds of people/families. Then she danced with some mariachi groups, and also a Syrian musical family in front of the Children’s Museum (former Carnegie Library). I was able to present her a Syrian refugee book “My Beautiful Birds”, which was stamped with Pima County Public Library as the previous owner. Hope to see Amal again later today at UA tailgate parties.
