In a situation where their leaders in Hamas welcome their suffering as a public relations coup while they live in comfort in Qatar and Israelis extremists in the Netanyahu Government and their settler fanatic supporters have publicly taken the attitude that “the only good Palestinians are dead ones” in their Twenty First Century drive of their version of imperial Manifest Destiny in fully taking over Gaza and the West Bank, Palestinian children are suffering starvation and irreparable harm, including shortages of baby formula.
Arizona Representative Yassamin Ansari along with Senators Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego have helped penned letters calling on the Fascist Netanyahu friendly Trump regime to relieve the food and baby formula shortage in Gaza.
In her letter with other Arizona House Democrats, Ansari called on Secretary of State Marco Rubio to represent “America’s moral values” and “Demand that the Israelis government immediately facilitate a massive surge of humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, including but not limited to, baby formula and medical equipment required to treat infant and child malnourishment.”
In a social media post with copies of the letter, Representative Ansari wrote:
“The starvation crisis in Gaza is robbing parents of their babies. The Israeli government must allow greatly expanded humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, including baby formula. To not allow this is unconscionable.”
Senators Kelly and Gallego echoed similar sentiments in their letter, writing:
“We the undersigned stand united in our fundamental American moral values that we must do everything possible to ensure children are not starving and that infants are not denied critical food aid. This crisis is not one of funding or resources, but of access and political will. While we push for a long-lasting resolution and we are devastated that previous ceasefires were not upheld, we believe it is absolutely necessary to prioritize the safe delivery of the pallets of baby formula, specifically ready-to-feed formula, sitting at the border of Gaza to ensure that we do not lose another newborn or infant to starvation.”
“We therefore urge you to demand that the Israeli government immediately facilitate a massive surge of humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, including but not limited to baby formula and medical equipment required to treat infant and child malnourishment. Specifically, all crossing points should immediately be reopened for the entry of humanitarian aid and allowed to operate simultaneously and consistently, and the Israeli government must take additional steps to vastly scale up the amount of aid allowed in through existing crossings and expand movement and access for international aid organizations throughout the Gaza Strip must also be taken, so that they can deliver this aid without diversion.”
On social media, Senator Kelly posted:
Senator Gallego conveyed:
“As the Israeli military restricts aid into Gaza, thousands of children are on the verge of starving to death. I’m leading my colleagues in calling on the Trump administration to use its full power and authority to demand that the Netanyahu government immediately facilitate a massive surge of ready-to-feed infant formula into Gaza. No child should face the desperation and suffering we are witnessing. We must use our leverage to ensure the most vulnerable are protected.”
Palestinians and Israelis need new leaders.
Hama’s record of terrorism and repression toward their own people and Israelis speaks for itself.
Netanyahu, the Israelis Trump, is making, through its actions in Gaza and the West Bank, what was the only Democracy in the region, what Tom Friedman calls “a Pariah state” where ethnocentrism rules the governing corridors.
Israelis protest against the governments actions and directions with their catering to their nation’s white nationalist expansionist fringe.
To be fair, when Palestinians do that in Gaza, many of them stop breathing because Hamas will not condone opposition.
Many Israelis former military and security leaders, including former Prime Minister Ehud Barak, have called the current state of the war in Gaza “a war of deception, political opportunism, and in Netanyahu’s case, like Trump, a get out of jail free card.
That is why they are afraid to call early elections.
They know they will lose.
Meanwhile, Palestinian babies suffer and die.
The people in states like Michigan who actually believed Trump when he said he would end the suffering in Gaza and decided to vote against Kamala Harris.
How is that working out for you?
America does need to flex its muscles, get the needed aid into Gaza, and convene a multi nation peace conference to solve this issue once and for all that result in strong and Democratic Israelis and Palestinian states.
