Arizona Democratic Party Chair Reacts To Trump’s Selecting Loyalist/MAGA Podcaster Dan Bongino to be the Next Deputy F.B.I. Director

What wonderous qualification did the Felon in Chief consider when making Dan Bongino the new Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.)

Was it his extensive experience within the bureau like most previous Deputy Directors have had?

No.

Bongino has never worked at the F.B.I.

Was it his experience running large a local or state law enforcement agency?

Nothing there either.

So what was the number one qualification the Felon in Chief considered when making Don Bongino the number two at the nations national law enforcement organization?

Like the current director, Kash ‘Enemies List’ Patel, who also has limited law enforcement experience, Donald Trump chose Bongino for his blind loyalty to the American Duce.

A former police officer and Secret Service Agent, Bongino, who failed in three attempts to win political office on his own, has, through his MAGA friendly podcasts, continually demonstrated unrestrained fealty to Donald Trump, taking his position that the 2020 election was stolen from him and that former President Biden called for the raid on Mara Largo to retrieve the classified documents Trump criminally refused to turn over.

Now the F.B.I. is not headed by independent actors but obedient sycophants who will undoubtedly turn a blind eye to any Musk/Trump/Vance transgressions, steer the Bureau away from going after extreme right wing domestic-MAGA supporting terrorist activity, and probably go after individuals and groups that oppose the Administration.

Reacting to the Bongino appointment, Arizona Democratic Party Chairperson Robert E. Branscomb commented:

“Again, Trump has appointed one of his stooges to serve him instead of serving the American people. It is dishonest, distasteful, and another sign that Donald Trump is not fighting for the hardworking Americans that are struggling to make ends meet. This is another awful appointment and the American people deserve better.”

Branscomb is right.

There is no silver lining to this appointment at all and this is another nail in the coffin of the ideals that “justice for all” and “no one is above the law.”

The American People and the Justice System does deserve better.
