In social media posts over the last two days, Arizona Congressional District Three House Representative Yassamin Ansari condemned United States Supreme Court Rulings against Planned Parenthood and the national injunctions halting American Duce Wannabe Donald Trump’s dictatorial Executive Orders.
Speaking from her car yesterday, Representative Ansari railed against the Court ruling against Planned Parenthood in a case where the South Carolina state government challenged that organizations ability to provide non abortion services through Medicaid like cancer screenings.
In her comments on the Planned Parenthood ruling, the CD Three Arizona Representative said:
“Horrible, horrible ruling from the Supreme Court today. Today, SCOTUS ruled that states can decide whether or not Medicaid patients can actually go to Planned Parenthood and get essential Health Care and essential reproductive care. This is not the most surprising thing, but another outrageous attack on reproductive freedom in this country. Just three years after Roe v Wade was overturned, we know that Planned Parenthood clinics across the country, including in my district provide literally life-saving health care. Also, essential basic healthcare like STI testing, access to birth control, cancer screenings. We’re going to keep fighting this with everything that we have and wanted to make sure everyone knew what happened today with SCOTUS”
Earlier today, Ms. Ansari sounded the alarm with the conservative majority’s opinion on making it harder for lower courts to institute nationwide injunctions on clearly Unconstitutional and Illegal Trump Executive Order like the one taking away Birthright Citizenship from children of illegal immigrants.
“Look. Birthright citizenship is the law of the land. It’s a part of the Fourteenth Amendment in our Constitution and literally only a constitutional amendment could change that. However, we have a Supreme Court that was appointed largely by Donald Trump. They’re MAGA loyalists. It’s a political Supreme Court, and today they issued a very political as opposed to a judicial decision. What the decision does today is limit the ability of lower courts to place nationwide injunctions on Trump’s Unconstitutional actions. We know that Donald Trump wants to be a dictator. He wants to be an authoritarian. This is an authoritarian regime and the reason why he has so many injunctions and lawsuits against him is because so many of his actions are illegal and unconstitutional. So today’s decision is a massive setback. It should scare people because this Administration, this regime is trying to go after all of our rights, whether or not you’re an American citizen, and it’s very dangerous. I can promise you that Democrats in Congress, Governors, and Attorneys General across the country, will continue to fight this Administration in the courts to protect our most fundamental rights, and we’ve been successful. There have been many successful lawsuits, whether it be on tariffs, whether it be on transgender service members. There are active lawsuits that will continue to be successful, and we will continue to fight back.”
