Today the AZ Daily Star editorial board endorsed Democrats Kevin Dahl (political newcomer) for the open seat in Ward 3 and 3 term incumbent Steve Kozachik for Ward 6 on the Tucson City Council.
The General Election is coming up on Nov. 2, 2021, with Ward 5 Councilman Richard Fimbres, also a Democrat, running unopposed.
Dahl, a conservation activist, is facing Republican and Independent challengers. Councilman Kozachik is only facing an Independent political newcomer.

In their endorsements, the Star also endorsed Prop. 410 to give the Mayor & City Council pay raises, and Prop. 206 to raise the minimum wage in the City of Tucson to $15/hour by 2025.
“Using today’s idiosyncratic pandemic economy to posit that setting a $15 minimum wage is unnecessary is problematic. We believe setting a minimum wage that is above the state’s paltry requirement of $12.15 would be an economic boon to businesses and workers.” (from Star editorial)
Vote wisely on or before Nov. 2. Early ballots go out this week on October 6.
