The Giffords bio in the NY Times is good stuff, but leave it to Fitz to come up with the line that captures Gabby's spirit for those of us who kinda sorta know her, but feel like we're friends.
I count Gabrielle Giffords as a friend. This makes me a select member of a small circle of about a 1.3 million people here in Southern Arizona.
