OK, so Michael Smerconish isn’t a household name outside of Philadelphia where he has a radio show and writes a column. But he’s a Republican voice and proud of it. Until now. I just saw him on Hardball on MSNBC saying he’ll vote for Obama. This, according to Jake Tapper of ABC News, is from a recent Smerconish column I can’t find on the web.
John McCain is an honorable man who has served his country well. But he will not get my vote. For the first time since registering as a Republican 28 years ago, I’m voting for a Democrat for president.
His main issue is capturing Bin Laden. He thinks Obama is more sincere about this than McCain. But Sarah Palin sticks in his craw as well. She is the glue that holds all these defecting conservatives together.
I might get tired of this “Conservatives Jump Ship” series some day soon.
Just kidding! Did I fool anyone out there?
Keep them mutinies coming!
