Rich Crandall is upset. Why would anyone think, with all the cuts Republicans have made to schools and health care for children and state parks and — but why go on? — that his bill to make school lunches optional could possibly hurt children or schools? Why don't people forget about all that other stuff and trust that Crandall's motives are pure?
And why would anyone think Crandall's ownership of a company that does work in school nutrition has anything to do with this bill? Just because people like Steve Yarbrough make money off the tuition tax credit bills he sponsors and other Republicans make money for themselves and their contributors by tailoring bills to their interests, why would anyone think Crandall would do that?
After all, his company does no work in Arizona. Yet. Would making school lunches optional bring business his way? Only Crandall and those he works with know for sure.
NOTE TO CRANDALL: I don't know if other blogs reported that you provide food to Arizona schools as you say, but this blog didn't report that. We here at BfA stick to the facts when we're reporting facts. We also state opinions like, the possibility of a conflict of interest with Crandall authoring this bill is huge. But that's just an opinion.
