Democratic Congressional Candidate Reaction to Lesko, Biggs, and Gosar Receiving Failing Grades on Democracy

On April 26, 2021, the Republican Accountability Project, a group of Anti Trump Fascist members of the sane branch of the former Party of Lincoln released a report card grading Republican Congressional Members on following Democracy since the November 2020 elections.

Arizona House Representatives Debbie what is my name Lesko, Andy wearing masks threaten freedom Biggs and Paul my family will not vote for me Gosar all failed the Democracy report card because they:

  • Supported the amicus brief filed along with Texas’ lawsuit to the Supreme Court that sought to nullify votes cast in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Georgia (Gosar did not.)
  • Objected to the certification of Electoral College votes from at least one state.
  • Made public statements that cast doubt on the legitimacy of the 2020 election.
  • Did not vote to impeach Trump for his role on January 6, 2021, attempted coup at the Nation’s Capitol.

The 2022 Democratic Congressional Candidates looking to politically retire Lesko, Biggs, and Gosar from their traitorous betrayal of the country offered their perspective on their failure to uphold American Democracy.

Michael Muscato, the 2020 Democratic Nominee for Arizona House Congressional District Eight commented on Ms. Lesko:

“Debbie Lesko doesn’t care about accountability grades, the fact that she’s been exposed as a total fraud, or what the needs of her constituents are. She doesn’t have to. She is the beneficiary of decades of investment and organization from her party. She has the full support of the Arizona GOP, is funded by special interests, and knows the AZ Dem party will not provide the resources for local and federal candidates necessary to defeat her. Democrats need to stop focusing on holding Republican incumbents accountable and instead focus on holding those they’re giving their time and money to account for not reinvesting, not organizing, and not winning elections in their communities. Lesko outperformed Joe Biden by 70k votes and Mark Kelly by 65k votes in CD8. The GOP is laughing at all of us out here. Debbie Lesko isn’t the problem, she’s the symptom of political appeasement.”

Joan Greene, the 2018 and 2020 Democratic Nominee for Arizona House Congressional District Five offered on Mr. Biggs:

“Receiving an F is not a badge of honor. We know Biggs will not change so the people in AZ05 must vote for change.”

Delina DiSanto, the 2020 Democratic Nominee for Arizona House Congressional District Four wrote on Mr. Gosar:

“When the GOP grades their own an “F-very poor”, shows my race against Paul Gosar is a viable win in 2022. Gosar does not uphold our democracy & hasn’t since 2010. He has been more concerned about conspiracy theories, inciting violence, and dividing our country. If he was concerned about the voters of Congressional District 4, he would be working on bringing in more jobs, infrastructure, bringing down medical costs by ensuring everyone has affordable healthcare, protecting our environment, and more. He’s NOT. He rather fundraise off the emotions he stirs up from his bombastic rhetoric and behavior. The Republican Accountability Project took note and gave him a well-deserved ‘F’.
AZ04 deserves representation they deserve for a better quality of life. I will do exactly that.”

Judy Stahl, the other Democrat running to earn the Party Nomination in CD Four in 2022 relayed:

“The report released by the Republican Accountability project, while concerning, is unsurprising. Representative Gosar and others have consistently shown disdain for the will of the Arizona voters. They are more concerned with undermining the results of one of the most secure elections in U.S. history than in actually addressing critical issues our community is facing: water conservation, affordable healthcare, and building up our small business economy, to name a few. I am running because I understand that regardless of their party affiliation, Arizona families want a government that works for them, not against them. The voters may not agree with me on every issue, but they will always be able to trust that the decisions I make will be based on facts and with the input I seek out from the voters themselves. That is why I will win my primary and go on to beat Paul Gosar in the general election in 2022.”

The people of Arizona deserve representatives that believe in the American Ideal and the Democratic Republic form of government.

Debbie Lesko, Andy Biggs, and Paul Gosar have repeatedly demonstrated they are not those types of public servants.

Vote them out in 2022.

  1. For the past 20 years, I’ve been asking what earthly use is the Arizona Democratic Party to Arizona voters and citizens. Really, what? They don’t fund candidates. They’re doormats to the Republicans. They don’t stand up to the governor, attorney general, senators and reps, state legislators. The senators they did support so timidly, Sinema and Kelly, vote often with Republicans and are not available to help with state issues. We could have had a Democratic governor in 2018 if the Dem party had a spine and called out Ducey on his lies, his trampling of educators, and his “businessman” experience. They could fundraise and “develop” Dem-sympathetic industries to support Dem candidates. But nooooooooooooo. What a waste.

    • And to top it all off Christy, the ADP lets conservative establishment types like Chuck Schumer and the DSCC/DCCC pick their candidates for them. While stomping on Progressive candidates. One would think the ADP would rather see a Republican than a Progressive Democrat win.
