With regards to Paul, “my family will not vote for me,” Gosar, there is one near certainty with the 2022 elections.
If he is not indicted and tried for any role he may have had in the January 6, 2021, Domestic Terrorist Attack on the Nation’s Capital by Trump Zone Insurrectionists, there will be no shortage of political news coverage (mostly negative) and material with his reelection campaign.
Today proved no exception as news reports revealed that the fringe conspiracy theory-loving white nationalist subscriber and founding member of the (hopefully) defunct America First Caucus would attend a fundraiser to benefit his candidacy with fellow extremist Nick Fuentes, an individual the Arizona Congressional District Four Congressman paid homage to earlier in the year rather than vote on the American Rescue Plan.

Earlier this evening, Mr. Gosar stated that he had no idea about this event and no one in his campaign knew about it.
This position, given Mr. Gosar’s past statements and associations, appears to strain credibility, even if Minority Leader Kevin I’ll do anything to become Speaker McCarthy publicly believes it.
The two Democrats vying to earn their party’s nomination and defeat Gosar in 2022 issued statements in the latest episode regarding the controversial Arizona House Representative.
Delina DiSanto, the 2020 Democratic Nominee against Gosar released a statement that said:
“We just got word that Paul Gosar will be attending a fundraiser hosted by a well-known white nationalist.
The far-right host is known for saying things like:
Segregation was better for Black Americans
The First Amendment does not apply to Muslims
The Holocaust was exaggerated and compared Jews who were killed in Nazi gas chambers to cookies baking in an oven
This makes me sick. This isn’t just the company Paul Gosar keeps, it’s who he is: a disgusting white nationalist and antisemite.
Every day Paul Gosar reminds me why I’m running to defeat him. Our community has been poisoned by Gosar and his extremist beliefs and he’s turned us into a national embarrassment.
I want the people of AZ04 and Arizona to have hope and the best quality-of-life and not worry daily that leaders are not working for them. I will!”
The other Democratic Candidate, Judy Stahl, relayed:
“I am running for Congress to solve problems and bring people together. My opponent, Paul Gosar, is doing the opposite. He is shamefully raising money for his fellow white supremacist cronies. It’s unacceptable. If Gosar is elected again, he will continue to ignore the needs of Arizona families while emboldening the most hateful fringes of our society. We have an opportunity to do better for our district and our country. That’s why my team and I are doing everything to meet voters where they are and give them a better option.”
Both DiSanto and Stahl are right.
Even if Paul Gosar is actually being honest about not knowing about this fundraising event, there is no denying that he has poisoned the political well with his extremist views during his time in office. The time is now to elect a candidate that will defeat him and serve the residents in the area by moving that community and the state forward in an inclusive and collaborative fashion.
