ACLU People Over Power: CD 6 town hall
April 26 @ 11:30 am – 1:00 pm MST
by Carolyn Classen, blogger

“The ACLU of Arizona is hosting a town hall in AZ’s 6th congressional district on April 26. We need you to join us and demonstrate the power of the people.Presidential power is not unlimited. It is bound by the Constitution, and checked by Congress, the courts, and the will of the people. But the Trump administration is testing the limits of executive authority by weaponizing federal funding and threatening dissenters — attacks that undermine our democracy and trample civil rights and liberties. Members of Congress like Representative Juan Ciscomani must push back on behalf of Arizonans and fight for our communities. This April recess, we have an opportunity to call on Representative Ciscomani to take action on critical issues, from saving Medicaid to protecting free speech and our immigrant communities. Now is the time to stand up for our freedoms. RSVP now to join our town hall and be a part of the fight!People Over Power: CD6 Town HallJoin the ACLU of Arizona, Disability Rights Arizona, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Arizona, and Veterans Against Trump to speak out against federal overreach.Saturday, April 26, 11:30 a.m. Sheraton Tucson 5151 E Grant Rd Tucson, Arizona 85712 RSVP Today Together, let’s make our stance clear: we will not tolerate an abuse of executive power.
