Carolyn’s note: Fomer Marine JoAnna Mendoza is running for CD 6 in the Dem primary in August 2026 with other Dems (so far) political newcomer Samanta Severson and Iman Bah. JoAnna ran for LD 11 State Senator in Nov. 2020 against incumbent Republican Vince Leach. Bah ran for District 3 Pima County Supervisor as an Independent in Nov. 2024.

The winner will take on 2 term Republican CD 6 Congressman Juan Ciscomani.
