“Please join us on March 16th at Noon on Zoom for a lively and informative discussion of Derrick Espadas’ campaign for a seat on the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) and its role in Arizona’s economy and environment.

You Must Register in Advance for this Event:

Derrick Espadas is an educator, advocate, and business leader rooted in Pima County, running
for the Arizona Corporation Commission to bring accountability, fairness, and real community
representation to Arizona’s energy system.

Derrick is running to bring to the ACC the following values:

A. Accountable Energy Leadership
The ACC should work for Arizonans—not utilities and data center developers.
B. Consumer Protection
Energy bills, water use, and infrastructure decisions directly affect families. Derrick will fight to
keep costs fair and transparent.
C. Smart Clean Energy
Clean energy done right: planned, regulated, and beneficial to communities—not rushed deals
that leave ratepayers holding the bag.
D. Community Before Corporate Profit
Economic development is not the same as community benefit. Arizona deserves both.”

Carolyn’s note: This will be a 3 way Dem primary for 2 seats on the AZ Corporation Commission. Jonathon Hill, who ran for this seat in Nov. 2024 is running again, with Clara Pratte, political newcomer. Hill and Pratte are running as a team, and spoke to DGT on Dec. 15, 2025. The 2 Dem winners in the primary will face off with Republican incumbent Commissioners Nick Myers and Kevin Thompson.
