Donating During a Fascist Crisis

This session is a practical presentation about how to give money strategically in the current crisis of democracy.

We’ll talk about the unusual and urgent nature of this moment, and how both charitable giving and political giving may need to change in response. We’ll consider what kinds of organizations are most likely to make a real difference right now, and how different giving strategies make sense for people in different financial situations.

The focus is on how financial support for the resistance can be a powerful complement to—and a source of capacity behind—voting drives, court challenges, constituent lobbying, mutual aid, street protests, and other forms of action.
