Three City of Tucson Council races will be decided today (hopefully depending on counting of provsional ballots) for Ward 3, 5 and 6.
Ward 3 is represented by 1 term Democrat Kevin Dahl, who faced a primary challenger (in the August 5 Dem primary) and now a Republican challenger.
Ward 5 was represented by Democrat Richard Fimbres, who retired on May 1, 2025 after being elected to 4 terms. A replacement Council member Rocque Perez II was appointed by the current Tucson City Council on May 6, 2025. 3 Dem candidates faced off in the Primary. No L or R is running in this ward race.
Ward 6 is represented by appointed Democrat/former Ward 3 Councilwoman Karin Uhlich, who is serving out the remainder of Steve Kozachik’s term. He left the Council to work for Pima County in March, 2024. 3 Dems were in a primary race, and 1 Republican are seeking this seat.
