“This is a group show of passionate artists, at a passionate gallery! Opening night, Sat. March 29, 6-9, with a SPECIAL Live assemblage art performance, with musical accompaniment, by Jimmy Descant at 7pm. I will create a piece specific for this show in the alleyway at the entrance around the corner from the Royal Room, and hang it right on the wall!

March 31 is Cesar E Chavez Day. Chavez, the late founder and president of the United Farm Workers of America, had deep confidence in the ability of people to move mountains of injustice. Millions followed him on his journey to win monumental gains for farm workers, for civil rights, political representation for racial minorities and environmental justice. These achievements place him as one of the most outstanding leaders of the twentieth century. Chavez’s protests taught people about the power of nonviolent protest, the importance of solidarity, and the fight for social justice.
In homage to Cesar Chavez, for our upcoming exhibition “Raíces de Resistencia”, we are seeking artwork that addresses and speaks against policies that continue to challenge human rights in our society; immigration rights, health care, reproductive rights, climate change, transgender rights, white supremacy, gender equality, gun control, sexual harassment, voting rights, discrepancies in class and education, and more.

ARTWORK SUBMISSION INFORMATION – 2 WAYS TO SUBMIT
1. Submit via Email: Email high-resolution jpeg images of your work electronically to raicestaller222@gmail.com (maximum of 3 pieces for consideration) by end of day Saturday March 22, 2025. Please send us the highest quality images you can provide to show your work in the best light. Your email must include your name, address & telephone number. Also include title of work, medium, dimensions & price for each submission. (When pricing your work, please keep in mind that the gallery percentage is 30% of the total sale price)
2. Submit in Person: If you prefer to submit your work in person, bring artwork you would like to be considered to the gallery (maximum of 3 pieces for consideration) on Monday, March 24 or Tuesday, March 25, 2025 4:00 – 6:00 pm
