“Join un on Tuesday August 5th at 8am, at Tucson City Hall to peacefully rally against “Project Blue” – the ground water guzzling, grid busting, AI Data Center planned for Tucson’s east side.
Tucson City Hall Address: 255 W Alameda St, Tucson, AZ 85701
TUESDAY AUGUST 5th – 8AM
This rally at City Hall on Aug 5th at 8am – is intended to set the tone, and communicate to the City Council our community’s concern about “Project Blue” before the info meeting to be held the next day.
This rally is a call from one Tucsonan to all others who are stunned by the possibility of water- and electricity-guzzling data centers coming to our valley. Express your opposition to Project Blue by gathering in the tree shaded area directly North of the main entrance to Tucson City Hall (along Alameda Street) on Tuesday, August 5th at 8 AM.
Your views are welcome; a bullhorn will be provided. Bring signs for display toward the building and along the street. Please bring whatever you need for the weather: drinking water, hats, snacks, etc. – and who knows, maybe umbrellas!
Three Fact about “Project Blue”
- The operator of the proposed Data Center has remained secret – Local Lawmakers signed an NDA, with a promise not to reveal the owner/operator to their constituents.
- Project Blue would require about 6 percent of Tucson’s total reclaimed water capacity. The Data Center will use ground water for the first two years.
- “Project Blue” AI Data Center will become TEP’s largest customer.
Park in nearby public garages. Bring your passion; leave weapons at home.
Please RSVP below to show up for your community!“
