Renew Tucson
Investing in People, Infrastructure, and Well-Being
“A Summit for Thinkers, Doers, and Citizen Activists
Presented by Sustainable Tucson
Thursday, April 23, 9 am to 5 pm
Friday, April 24, 9 am to 1 pm
At the Azurite conference hall, Pima Community College (PCC) downtown
Sponsored by PCC’s Division of Applied Technology
Mark your calendar for a mind-opening gathering to learn about, discuss, and plan for innovative approaches to invest in both people and infrastructure.
Founding concept: increasing our local economy’s energy and resource productivity can enable more jobs – at living wage and better – while building a more robust economy and reducing the strain on our local ecology. Speakers and facilitators will include nationally-known resource and energy economists, plus local leaders adopting creative and collaborative solutions to serve generations to come.
The Summit will explore community priorities, government agencies’ resources, and local business/industry capabilities to identify specific infrastructure projects, policies, and programs that we can fund and implement together.
Federal support is uncertain; State and City budgets are tight. But Tucson can invest in itself – creating local jobs, reducing household costs, and building the infrastructure that makes us more resilient.
We’re deepening connections among community, government, and local industry to promote investments that upgrade and build sustainable infrastructure, which in turn will create jobs, cut costs, and both deepen and keep investment in Tucson.
Registration opens this week. See our website: https://www.renewtucson.org/.”
