Click here for more information and to register About this event: Join neighbors, union supporters, working families, and advocates for a hopeful, family-friendly march celebrating the dignity of work and the power of solidarity. Unions are the foundation for many working families, providing rights to better working conditions, higher pay, and paid time leave. We’ll gather at 8:00 AM, arriving at the PALF Labor Day picnic around 9:00 AM.
This is a peaceful action at an easy walking pace, so everyone can participate (children are welcome). We’ll have water and shade on site; please prepare for the heat (i.e., wear hats and sunscreen). Musical instruments and signs are welcome.
Guardrails: This feeder march is an independent community action and is not sponsored, endorsed, or staffed by unions. We’re timing our arrival to coincide respectfully with the picnic program.
Partners / supporters: With support from community allies including Worker Power, UNITE HERE Local 11, Lamplighters, Working Families Power, Honest Arizona, and Care in Action.
Ideas for a signs/slogans: “Labor Solidarity” • “Proud Union Supporter” • “Workers Over Billionaires” • “I Support Collective Bargaining” • “Yes to Unions”
Accessibility: Easy, unhurried pace. Restrooms are available in the park. Reply to your registration email with specific access questions.”
