Tre’Davon Rhodes was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. The son of a single mother and incarcerated father, Tre overcame adversity, becoming a first generation college student.

Today, he studies Political Science and Economics at the University of Arizona and is an avid community organizer.

Tre is running for TUSD Governing Board to bring a fresh perspective to TUSD and ensure that, like him, all students have the opportunity to succeed in our district.”

Carolyn’s note: 2 seats on TUSD Governing Bd. up for election, currently held by Jennifer Eckstrom and Val Romero, both running for re-election. Eckstrom is former Mayor of South Tucson, daughter of retired D 2 Pima County Supervisor Dan Eckstrom (D). Romero is an Independent, challenged Steve K for Ward 6 Council in Nov. 2021, and Adelita Grijalva for D 5 Supervisor in Nov. 2024. Also running for Governing Bd. is Pilar Ruiz, who ran for this same seat in Nov. 2024 (came in 4th in 5 way race for 3 seats), and newcomer Lucas Verdugo.
