Carolyn’s note: Democrat Former Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes was elected Sec. of State in Nov. 2022. He is up for re-election next year. His campaign website: https://electfontes.com/. He is one of the few Hispanic American politicians at the state level. The others are U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego (D) and two Commissioners on the AZ Corporation Commission, Lea Marquez Peterson (R), and Rene Lopez (R).
Nina Trasoff (D) is a former Tucson City Councilmember for Ward 6, serving one term.
