Previous info & flyer below, note the change from Cesar Chavez march & rally. News sources are reporting “sensitive information” re: Cesar Chavez. Altough Chavez died in 1993, the allegations are now about his alleged abuse of female minors and rape of fellow activist Dolores Huerta. Unsure how this will affect the upcoming City of Tucson holiday on March 30.
“This annual March starts at Pueblo HS, 3500 S. 12th Ave. and goes to Rudy Garcia Park, 5001 S. Nogales Hwy. , Tucson 85706.”
Carolyn’s note: Chavez was born on March 31, 1927 in Yuma, Arizona. He was a civil rights leader for United Farm Workers, as was his colleague Dolores Huerta, who is still alive. He died in 1993, at age 66.
