Fact Averse Turning Point Supporters Jump the Gun And Endanger Math Teachers at the Vail Unified School District

Seeing imagined grotesque plots to demonize and denigrate their fallen founder Charlie Kirk everywhere, Turning Point Leaders and followers rushed to false judgment on social media over the weekend with regard to the costumes Math teachers at Cienega High School in the Vail Unified School District wore on Halloween last week.

According to the uniformed interpretations of the Turning Point Leaders and their surrogates, including one factually inhibited and averse Arizona State Representative, Rachel Keshel, from Legislative District 17, the teachers costumes were a blatant attempt to glorify the assassination of Mr. Kirk that occurred on September 10, 2025.

Turning Point spokesperson and Charlie Kirk Show Executive Producer Andrew Kolvet has spent most of the last 48 hours blasting the Math teachers before giving the district a chance to explain themselves first.

Below is an example of one of his social media posts.

When Vail Superintendent John Carruth issued a press release explaining the situation and pointing out that this was part of a math lesson both this year and in 2024, Kolvert posted this in response.

Even after the district released the picture from 2024 showing the Math teachers wearing the same costume as this year, Kolvert did not want to admit a total error, still publicly speculating that nefarious motives were behind the wearing of the costumes, posting:

“UPDATE: Vail Schools said these math teachers wore the same costume last year. I was waiting for confirmation, and it appears they did. I am updating the thread with the image. We’ve seen enough evil since Charlie’s murder that I’d actually be relieved if this isn’t another example.

That being said, it’s a very weird constume for teachers in general, but after what happened to Charlie, I’m absolutely floored they wore it again. I do not believe for a second that all of them are innocent. Some probably are (and it’s for their sake that I’m updating this thread) but I believe others knew exactly what they were doing. The school district’s decision to remove the image immediatley after posting shows that anyone with a brain knew how this would be seen.

Final thought: School teachers have been among the worst offenders of mocking and celebrating Charlie’s assassination. I have my theories as to why, but at this point they should not be surprised that parents and the community are on high alert.”

What an ass.

Because of Kolvert and the fanatics who posted these unsubstantiated false narrative tirades, threats were made against these teachers.

Their lives, thanks to Kolvert and his Turning Point zealots jumping to the wrong conclusions, were potentially endangered.

The Pima County Sheriffs Department had to send law enforcement to Cienega High School to protect the school community.

Reacting to the uniformed hateful and potentially life threatening ruckus Kolvert and his followers caused, Arizona Education Association President Marisol Garcia released a statement against the Turning Point online mob, writing:

“Over the weekend, bad-faith actors mobilized an online mob against educators in the Vail School District. We are horrified by the barrage of death threats that followed, and we urge law enforcement to fully investigate all threats and protect the Vail community.”

“Vail educators deserve privacy and grace during this time. All of us lose when our classrooms become the site of political fights.”

Representative-Elect Adelita Grijalva commented to Blog for Arizona, writing:

“Before you rage-post, do your homework. Our teachers deserve our support, not harassment.”

Arizona House Democratic Assistant Leader Nancy Gutierrez also commented to the Blog, stating:

“It’s absolutely ridiculous that Arizona Republicans are knowingly spreading misinformation about public school teachers. This was completely made up propaganda and it’s resulted in teachers being doxxed and threatened. If you’ve ever wondered why Arizona has a difficult time keeping teachers, here’s one of the reasons. All of the people who spread and are still spreading this vicious rumor should apologize immediately. Do better Republicans!”

On social media, Representative Gutierrez posted the below response to Representative Keshel:

“They won’t just admit when they’ve harmed innocent people!! You should be ashamed!”

In a second post, Gutierrez responded to January 6 attendee Anthony Kern’s asinine post:

Dr. Teresa Leyba Ruiz, Democratic Candidate for Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction commented to Blog for Arizona:

“It’s no wonder Arizona is facing a massive teacher shortage when this is the way we treat people educating our kids. Who wants to work in a classroom when you are under constant threat of doxxing and harassment?
As Superintendent of Public Instruction, I will restore a climate of respect for our hardworking teachers and staff and support our districts when they are targeted by online attacks.”
