Felecia Rotellini Touts Her Record in New TV Spot

It’s September, and for the next 2 months, network television viewers will be inundated with TV television ads. For those of you follow blogs and not TV, we don’t want you to miss out. Here is  Democratic Party candidate for attorney general Felecia Rotellini’s new ad.

Rotellini narrowly lost in 2010 to disgraced Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne, who lost his primary bid in August. Her opponent in November is Mark Brnovich, former big-wig for the Goldwater Institute. (Shudder. The Goldwater Institute has been the instigator for dozens of right-wing bills in the Arizona Legislature.)

If you want an attorney general who will protect and fight for Arizonans, as the ad suggests, vote for Felecia. If you want an extremist who will play politics with the office of attorney general (as Horne did), vote for Brnovich.

  1. I noticed her ad very carefully left out any mention of her being a Democrat. That is very odd, don’t you think?

    • It’s not odd at all in a general election. What would be the purpose for identifying a candidate’s political party in a TV ad?

      • I just think that is information a lot of voters would like to have. I know that if I vote for a Democrat because they are the better person for the job, I like to know that and not just when I go to mark the ballot. And I have voted for Democrats in the past. This current Gubernatorial contest may be one of those cases.

Let’s face it, a Democrat and a Republican will likely perform differently in office. Regardless of how qualified they are, they are more likely to follow Party lines than not. That bit of information is important to me. It doesn’t stop me from voting for them, but it enters my evaluation process.
