Fearing losing the majority in the House of Representatives next year, Donald Trump and his band of MAGA and Project 2025 apostates have formulated a plan to minimize their losses by having the Texas State Government and possibly the Ohio one as well conduct, under dubious justification, a mid decade redistricting scheme that could potentially garner them more Republican friendly seats.
While some commentators in Texas have called this move a potential “dummymander” because this proposal, if enacted, may actually thin out Republican strength in these districts, making them more competitive, California Governor Gavin Newsom, the leader of the nation’s most populous state, posted on social media:
Also, Governors JB Pritzker in Illinois and Kathy Hochul in New York, along with their Democratic Party controlled legislatures, may want to play along as well.
