I'm a day away from declaring officially,
According to The Goldwater Institute, Bus Drivers are Bureaucrats.
Still nothing in the mail from Starlee Rhoades at the Goldwater Institute answering my simple question: What does "many" mean in her sentence:
"We believe the term bureaucrat accurately describes many of the employees in question and is a fair use of the term."
If I don't receive an answer in Saturday's mail, I can only assume G.I. is willing take the official stand that not only bus drivers, but also maintenance workers and food service workers count as bureaucrats.
That's the only way it can stand by Matthew Ladner's statement that Arizona school districts maintain "an almost 1-to-1 teacher to bureaucrat ratio."
It's not a stand I would want to defend.
On the other hand, unless journalists ask G.I.'s people, "Is it really true that you say bus drivers are bureaucrats?" they have nothing to worry about. I imagine that's what they're counting on.
Meanwhile, I ask, one more time . . .
"Please Mr. Postman. C'mon, deliver the letter, the sooner the better."
