G.I. piles on “Alpha dog” Antenori

by David Safier

AN OOPS! UPDATE: Looks like I got this one wrong. The tweet isn't from the Goldwater Institute after all. Note to self: if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. I regret the error.

Frank Antenori proclaims that he's the muscle behind the Republican boycott of the questions the Star put to all southern Arizona legislators, which every Dem responded to. (Reminds me of a little kid clinging to  mommy's Maricopa R boss' pant leg and sticking out his tongue at a big kid.)

He's been taken to task in all kinds of venues for his "the Star knows where they can stick it" attitude, which is in keeping with his "the County Supes better pick me for Senator or they know where they can stick it" taunt.

Now here's another country heard from, on Twitter.

First, Antenori:

The AZ Daily Star is not the only game in town. The editorial pg should be more than just liberal tripe.

Then, in a surprising response, the Goldwater Institute:

Not answering basic questions posed to all SAZ legislators disrespectful 2 voters. LD30 citizens don't all follow talk radio.

Whoa! I have to give G.I. a rare "way to go"!

Hat tip to Dawn Teo who sent me the exchange, and threw in her own tweet for good measure:

@GoldwaterAZ Right on. @FrankAntenori doesn't seem to want to make his answers more accessible, wants voters to learn about him on his terms.
