Tom Horne sent a memorandum to Superintendents and Charter Holders this week telling them the current revenue shortfall means third quarter payments for some programs will be delayed until fourth quarter.
We have been informed that due to the state’s revenue shortfall, the third quarter allotment (January – March) for state non-formula programs will be rolled over to the fourth quarter (April – June). This means there will not be any release of state funds to the school districts and charters during the third quarter for the following programs:
Residential Placement
AIMS Intervention & Dropout Prevention
Adult Education
Chemical Abuse
English Language Learner Compensatory Instruction Fund
Special Ed Extended School Year
Family Literacy
Gifted Support
State Block Grant for Early Childhood
State Block Grant for Vocational Education
Vocational Education Extended School Year
As they used to say in the 30s, Times is hard.
