I'm going to bypass the subject of the bill passed by the House that says it's OK for people to park their cars in private parking lots with guns inside. I'm against it, but that's not what this is about. It's about my favorite line in the article.

It seems Rep. Konopnicki, an NRA supporter, proposed an amendment to the bill. The NRA lobbyist and a board member from Tucson went nuts, shouting at Konopnicki.

Rathner said he believes Konopnicki, who has been supported by the NRA in the past, blind-sided the organization by crafting the amendment without talking to NRA lobbyists.

"We write the bills around here, pardner! Now let's see you dance," he said, firing at the floor around Konopnicki's feet.

[Satire alert. No, no one fired at Konopnicki's feet. I made the barroom-style scene up, because the thought amused me. (You can't be too careful these days.)]
