It is well known to everyone that is informed that American Duce wannabe Donald Trump and the MAGA movement he has inspired have perpetuated a war on knowledge, reality, and decency that accepts big lies like vaccines cause autism, climate change is a hoax, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are dirty words, and the teaching of history should emphasize a sanitized version of the nation’s evolution.
Over the last ten days, Trump and his MAGA apostates have continued their war on reality and D.E.I. with hearings on whether to cancel federally subsidized NPR and PBS and removed the flags of the 22 Native American Nations from the Carl Hayden VA Medical Center.
The war against NPR and PBS has been a constant Republican talking point even before Trump but has intensified with MAGA pushback against the truth-based content of these organizations’ news reporting and the diversity of its educational programming shows.
Marjorie ‘Jewish space lasers cause California wildfires’ Greene, according to the Associated Press, said, “You can hate us on your own dime.”
James ‘I’m going after Hunter Biden’ Comer called NPR and PBS programming “propaganda.”
After the hearing, Greene had one of her meltdowns against a British Journalist over the Signalgate issue involving Trump’s worst and dumbest in the National Security sphere.
What is really scary is that this maniac is in charge of the House DOGE Committee.
Fighting back against Greene’s earlier comments about NPR and PBS, Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett blasted Trump and MAGA’s drive to take away public broadcasting even at the expense of American citizens who rely on these stations for regional disaster alerts and other safety concerns.
Among Representative Crockett’s comments were:
“It should not be surprising the President is doing everything possible to make it more difficult for the media to hold him accountable and for the public to be informed about his Reckless and illegal Behavior. Yet, here we are. The Republicans have actually organized this goofy hearing to try to convince the American people that PBS and NPR are, quote ‘domestic terrorist or domestic threats.’ My apologies, not the incompetent, unqualified Secretary of Defense whose texting war plans to journalists. But it’s y’all PBS and NPR the American people are supposed to be worried about. You can’t make this up. It’s as stupid as it sounds. The American people should be worried about the President threatening to investigate NBC for treason for reporting on his felony convictions or arresting reporters and stripping networks of their licenses for not saying nice things about him or not using Gulf of America…”
“…The DOGE agenda isn’t about government efficiency. It’s about breeding corruption at the expense of the safety of the American people. Particularly Americans living in rural or remote parts of the country. They don’t care about Public Safety. They don’t care about emergency management, and they don’t care about Free Speech. All of which are harming American people… And to be clear, free speech is not about whatever it is that y’all want somebody to say, and the idea that you want to shut down everybody, that is not Fox News is bullshit. We need to stop playing because that’s what y’all are doing in here. You don’t want to hear the opinions of anybody else, and the Constitution says, it’s Congress shall make no law, respecting, or establishing of religion or prohibiting, the free exercise of speech…”
The removal of the 22 Native American Flags from the Carl Hayden VA Hospital was an apparent move to conform to the American Duce wannabe’s edict to wipe away all references to anything promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
When the flags were first taken away, Arizona House Representative Greg Stanton issued a formal letter of protest of the “unceremonial” removal of the flags and called for their restoration.
On March 24, 2025, Stanton was joined by Arizona House Representative Yassamin Ansari in a letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth calling for the “reinstatement” of the biographical information of noted Native American Arizona Veterans and War Heroes Pima/Akimel O’odham Marine Pfc. Ira Hayes and Hopi Army Specialist Lori Ann Piestewa to the Department’s website.
In their letter, Ansari and Stanton wrote:
“…The sovereign status of Tribal governments and members is political—not racial—as set in U.S. Supreme Court precedent and long-standing legal doctrine. Moreover, efforts by the DOD to recognize any veteran’s selfless service to our nation have nothing to do with any type of DEI Initiative…”
“…We must never forget the sacrifices made by Native American veterans and service members throughout our nation’s history. Native Americans have continuously served at the highest levels per capita than any other group in the United States…”
When the flags of the 22 Native American Nations were not restored, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs responded with a noble, decent, and “classy” act of symbolism, placing all the flags that were removed on the Ninth Floor of the Executive Tower by her offices.

In her social media posts, Governor Hobbs wrote:
“My office is now displaying Tribal flags that the Trump administration removed from the Phoenix VA Hospital. Arizona is proud of the Tribal Veterans who sacrificed for their country. We should recognize their service, not disrespect their heritage. It’s my honor to display these flags at the Executive Tower, and I am grateful to all the Tribal leaders who have entrusted me with this responsibility. I will always support our Veterans, and vow to keep these flags safe until they can be returned to their rightful place.”
Later, Democratic Legislative Leaders Senator Priya Sundareshan and Representative Oscar De Los Santos broadcast a video on social media showing their support for the Governor’s decision.
Senator Sundareshan said: “We’re here in the Governor’s protocol room, where we can see the rescued Flags of our 22 federally recognized tribal Nations that were unceremoniously dumped from the VA, thanks to the federal government and their inexplicable treatment of our Flags. But thank you to the Governor’s office for rescuing and displaying them in such a beautiful manner:
Representative DeSantos offered: Donald Trump and MAGA extremists are attacking our Native communities and tribes, we know that Democrats like Governor Hobbs or standing up. So, thank you, Governor.”
