Ask a question Jesse Kelly doesn't like, and his answer is he's focused on some combination of jobs, energy, lower taxes and the national debt. So when MSNBC's Chuck Todd asked Kelly if he would vote to keep student loan interest rates from doubling, his answer was, wait for it . . . first we have to take care of stopping the "Obama tax increases" and not increasing the debt ceiling without major concessions.
Kelly: Deal with that [student loan interest] retroactively. Deal with the huge problems Right. Now.
Todd: Deal with it retroactively. So let it double, people pay it, and then you would somehow give them a rebate later?
Kelly: Right now the businesses in this country . . .
And so on. Rinse and repeat.
