Juan Ciscomani Says He’s Saving Our Border, But He’s Fueling Terror Instead

Congressman Juan Ciscomani crowed last week about funding the Department of Homeland Security for another year. The budget bill, he said, was “critical to securing our border and supporting the men and women on the front lines.” As usual, the congressman, who avoids interacting with his constituents as much as possible and whose preening Facebook posts attract much negative attention, thinks his district is composed of either idiots or those not paying attention.

The bill included Customs and Border Protection funding of $18.3 billion which, if you haven’t been alerted (and Ciscomani fervently hopes you haven’t), has very little to do with the Mexican border. CBP’s own statistics acknowledge that apprehensions by its agents in the Southwest have decreased 85 percent this past fall. [https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/southwest-land-border-encounters]

So, where are all these taxpayer-funded men? Minneapolis, most likely, carrying out their reign of terror against U.S. residents (who are steadfastly resisting) under the guise of catching illegal immigrants.

Congressman! Did you know investigative reporters have identified the two masked officers who shot nurse Alex Pretti while he lay helpless in a Minneapolis street last week? They are based in South Texas, a mere 1,300 miles from Minneapolis. Their job was not to patrol the Texas border, but rain terror down on Americans, and murder one of them along the way. It turns out the whole immigration “crackdown” is mostly bogus and even more dangerous. The targets were supposed to be violent criminals or people evading deportation orders. In January, however, publicly available data shows that “nearly 43 percent of those detained had no convictions or charges.” [https://www.factcheck.org/2026/01/as-ice-arrests-increased-a-higher-portion-had-no-u-s-criminal-record/]

Where does the Trump administration, supported by congressional toadies like Juan Ciscomani, want this whole reign of terror to go? The “Border Chronicle”, an online newsletter covering both the good and bad in our Borderlands, knows: “The Border Patrol has rappelled from Black Hawk helicopters into an apartment building in Chicago, pulling people from their beds regardless of their citizenship….They bring what the humanitarian aid organization No More Deaths calls a ‘culture of cruelty’ to the rest of the country, combining the agency’s inherent violence and its entrenched impunity.” [https://www.theborderchronicle.com/border-patrol-nation/?ref=the-border-chronicle-newsletter].  So it seems as if the reign of terror will be nationwide.

Thanks, Juan, for enabling the destruction and chaos of our country.
