Katie Hobbs Chances of becoming Secretary of State again just Improved with Mark Finchem joining the 2022 race

Talk about a fox wanting to run the henhouse.

2020 Presidential Election Denier, Bannon loving conspiracy following Trump Zone resident,  suspected January 6 Domestic Terrorist collaborator, and subject of a serious attempt to recall him from his Legislative District 11 State House seat Mark Finchem wants to become the next Secretary of State of Arizona.

He is not the only fringe candidate running for Secretary of State in the country.

Georgia House Representative Jody Hice, another member of the alternative universe known as the Trump Zone and Fox Island wants to take the Secretary of State job in that state from Brad Raffensperger, the conservative Republican who dared say there was no election fraud in 2020.

This is a good day for Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs if she decides to run for reelection to this her current position instead of Governor this year.

There is virtually no scenario where the Independents of the Grand Canyon State and the more mild vintage personas of the Republican Party will vote for Finchem as Secretary of State should he get his party’s nomination in a low turn out base primary.

They do not want a person who frequently boasts about election conspiracy theories running the state office that helps to oversee and certify elections.

The only office Finchem should run for is the one that says retirement on the top of the door.

He does not belong in any government capacity where he can shape public discourse or policy.

Recall or vote him out.

  1. Katie Hobbs is a likely candidate for Governor in 2022. We need someone who is excellent on voting rights, like state Senator Martín Quezada, to come off the bench.
