Kobach goes from Romney “adviser” to “supporter” to “informal adviser”

One of these days Mitt will figure it out. Instead of coming up with different positions for different days of the week, he'll just start answering "All of the above."

Kris Kobach, the brains behind SB1070, used to call himself an adviser on immigration issues for Romney. That was back when Romney said SB1070 is a model for the nation.

Now Romney is amending his "SB 1070 is a model" statement so he can make nice with Hispanics. And as recently as a week ago, when a Romney spokesperson was asked why Kobach wasn't on the list of advisers, the answer was, Kobach is a supporter.

Today, the Romney camp split the difference. Not quite an adviser, but more than a supporter, Kobach is an "informal adviser."

Ah, that clears things up.
