Mark Brnovich: When will you be launching Investigations into Kelli Ward and Rudy Giuliani for trying to circumvent the 2020 Presidential election results in Maricopa County?
That is a question the Mark Kelly for Senate reelection campaign should be asking every day until the current Arizona Attorney General/Republican Senate candidate decides to uphold the law and his oath of office.
This is a question that AZ Central Columnists Elvia Diaz, Laurie Roberts, and EJ Montini have already asked.
AZ Blue Meanie also brought it up in a recent column.
It should not be rocket science for Mr. Brnovich to decide to launch this investigation when you have Ms. Ward (possibly the only person in Arizona who did steal her election victory last winter for party chairperson) telling Maricopa County Supervisors “to stop the count” and Mr. Giuliani leaving voice mails that say “I’d like to see if there’s a way that we can resolve this so that it comes out well for everyone. We’re all Republicans, I think we have the same goal.… Let’s see if we can get this done outside of the court, gosh.”
This is something Brnovich should have been studied in Prosecution 101.
Even Roberts, in her column, cites the felony both Ward and Giuliani may have committed:
“ARS 16-1004: A person who at any election knowingly interferes in any manner with an officer of such election in the discharge of the officer’s duty, or who induces an officer of an election or officer whose duty it is to ascertain, announce or declare the result of such election, to violate or refuse to comply with the officer’s duty or any law regulating the election, is guilty of a class 5 felony.”
As Montini said in the title of his column, no one should be allowed to tamper with Arizona elections.
No elections for that matter.
It is time for Brnovich to stop worrying about irritating his fringe Trump Zone-Fox Island-Know Nothing Base and do what the law prescribes and his oath of office demands.
If he does not, Mark Kelly and his campaign staff should tell Arizonans every day: Mark Brnovich compromised election integrity just so he could get the vote of people who do not believe in Democracy or the American/Arizonan Ideal.

The AG is supposed to be a non-partisan advocate of the rule of law, supporting the citizens’ interests. For Markie B., the last year has been using the office to advance his interest in appealing to the primary base for Senator, with half baked lawsuits, defending voter surpression, rushing executions, and defending, indefensible, unconstitutional laws. Of course he can’t burp without making sure he’s in line with the felonious Texas AG. He can congratulate himself, he has entered the Shame of Fame with Bill Barr and John Mitchell.
Never.
Marky Nunchuchs Esquire lacks the moral integrity needed to do the right thing, aka his job.
He’s as big a coward as Ducey.
