McCain: “Assaults on the dignity of others” (in faraway places) are a call to action

by David Safier

McCain gave the commencement address at Ohio Wesleyan University.

McCain didn't mention the immigration issue in his speech. But he did say we have to fight against "assaults on the dignity of others" because they are "assaults on the dignity of all humanity."

But I guess you won't find anything like that happening here. Only in "faraway places."

“I have faith that you understand that assaults on the dignity of others are assaults on the dignity of all humanity. You will not look upon tyranny and injustice in faraway places as the inevitable tragedy of mankind’s fallen nature. You will see them as a call to action – a summons to devote your time and talents to a just cause that is greater than yourself, the cause of human rights and dignity."

Good thing we don't have any assaults on dignity going on here. Or none that McCain, who supports SB1070, wants to talk about.
