I tuned into Obama's press conference Friday with a post-election calm. For the first time since Obama came on the scene, I wasn't terrified he'd screw up and blow everything. He never did, which just made me more terrified the next time.
Except for a few quips, the presser was pleasantly boring. It was wonky and somewhat informative, with all the ideas presented in complete, well phrased sentences — what you'd hope to hear from a president, but haven't heard in a long, long time.
Today's radio address is a snoozer too. I got through 30 seconds, yawned and turned it off.
I can't remember when I enjoyed boredom this much.
