The Star has done it again, keeping its string of Let's-make-the-Dems-and-especially-Obama-look-bad headlines going strong.
The AP story is about Obama's problems getting the START nuclear weapons treaty through the Senate, mainly because of objections from our own Jon Kyl.
Here's the headline I find online for most papers across the country, including on the AZ Republic's site:
Facing setbacks, Obama presses his foreign policy
The headline creates a daunting challenge for Obama — he's facing setbacks — but he's actively pursuing — pressing — his agenda. That creates a balanced picture of problems mixed with an attempt at finding solutions.
That just won't do for the Star, whose Creative Headline Writing team comes up with its own spin on the article.
Obama foreign-policy agenda going badly
All failure, all the time for Obama in the Star. I guess the paper could have taken things one step further, but it probably decided adding "(And Obamacare Sucks)" would be a bit much.
