Oops

Al Melvin wrote an op ed in this week's Explorer telling people to give tax credit money for public schools and private school scholarships. It's pre-election touchy-feely time when Melvin has to burnish his "I'm just a guy who cares about people" credentials.

Well, he inadvertently took his caring a bit farther than he meant to with this link.

The Arizona Department of Revenue describes the school tax credits in full detail on their website www.azdor.org, so I will highlight the main things you need to know to get started.

He meant .gov, not .org. Here's the site Melvin sent his readers to: "Arizona Day of Remembrance for Victims of Anti-Transgender Violence." Somehow, I don't think that's a cause Cap'n Al meant to throw his support to.

The delicious irony here is that the site has this logo in the sidebar:

Stopthehate_mini  So he's advocating for education after all, just not of the type a staunch conservative like Melvin usually endorses.
