Earlier today, local legislative, city, and county leaders from the Phoenix and Tucson area slammed Donald Trump and JD Vance’s American political version of Mein Kampf and the Handmaids Tale, Project 2025 ahead of tomorrow evenings Presidential Debate.

For readers who have heard both Trump and Vance disavow Project 2025, do not believe them.

Like Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said:

“I coached high school football long enough to know and trust me on this. When somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook, they’re gonna use it.”

According to a Harris for Arizona Press Release, Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Gallardo commented at the Phoenix event:

“Trump’s Project 2025 is all about power – giving him virtually unprecedented power to do whatever he wants. Trump’s overwhelming need to gain personal power and control women and all Arizonans is dangerous and extreme. We can’t allow him to destroy our democracy or take away our fundamental freedoms. Only one person can stop Donald Trump for good and that’s Vice President Kamala Harris.”

At the Tucson Event, State Representative Stephanie Stahl Hamilton offered:

“As we’ll see on the debate stage tomorrow, Vice President Harris knows that women should have the ability to make their own decisions. And she’s been fighting for our freedoms for years. She is fighting to pass a law restoring reproductive freedom for women and giving them back control over their bodies in every state. For Arizona women and their loved ones, the choice is clear. We have to stop Donald Trump, JD Vance and their extreme Project 2025 agenda at the ballot box. We have to elect Vice President Kamala Harris because we refuse to go back.”

Tucson City Council Member Paul Cunningham relayed:

“Tomorrow we’re going to see two very different visions for the future on display on the debate stage: We have the vision of Vice President Harris, a New Way Forward that will protect our freedoms, strengthen our democracy, uphold the rule of law, and offer working households new opportunities to get ahead. The other vision is Donald Trump’s – an extreme agenda that includes something called Project 2025 to give him extreme power over Arizonans’ lives.”

For more on how a Trump/Vance Administration would use Project 2025 to take the Middle and Working Class backward to a time before the Great Society and War on Poverty Programs from the 1960’s, please read Steven Rattner’s impressive guest column from today’s New York Times.

In it, he details how Project 2025 policies, if allowed to fester and be implemented, would:

  • Reduce the number of people eligible for Medicaid by 19 million.
  • Raise taxes on Americans making less than $170,000.
  • Eliminate the federal Head Start Pre-School Program which greatly benefits Rural Communities.
  • Phase out Title One schools where teacher job losses would range from six to twelve percent depending on the state.
  • End student loan forgiveness.
  • Repeal the Inflation Reduction Act investments in clean energy.
  • Ban the abortion pill.
  • Give Donald Trump Fascist-Dictatorial Powers making him the American Duce.

Rattner did not mention the mass deportation policies mentioned in Project 2025 but it is there in its pages in all its infamy.

Remember that Donald Trump is the first President in Modern Times where his own Vice President and a substantial number of his former cabinet and staff will not support his re-election.

Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican Presidential Nominee is not supporting Donald Trump.

Former Republican President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney are not supporting Donald Trump.

Also, just remember what is at stake in this election: the only candidate who is unfit to occupy the White House again is Donald Trump, the man who, despite his lying disavowals, will implement Project 2025 if elected.

Donald Trump has 34 convictions to his name. He is the first President to have his home searched for classified national security documents.

Donald Trump is the traitor who instigated the January 6, 2021, Domestic Terrorist attack on the Capitol.

Donald Trump is the first President in History to be impeached twice. He is the first President to ever have a member of his own party vote for his impeachment conviction.

Donald Trump has been found liable for sexual assault.

Donald Trump has been found liable for business fraud.

Donald Trump is the first Presidential Candidate to lose the popular vote twice.

Donald Trump is the first President to never achieve a fifty percent approval rating at any point in his Presidency.

Donald Trump has received the endorsement of former KKK head David Duke twice.

Donald Trump set a record for lying while occupying the White House. This trend, which started while he was a candidate, continues to this day.

Donald Trump, because of his botched conduct and management of the Coronavirus, tanked the United States Economy. He is the first President in 102 years to allow more than 120,000 Americans to die in a virus outbreak. He also added the third most to the nation’s debt.

Donald Trump is the President who appointed three Supreme Court Justices who took away women’s reproductive freedom and has made all Presidents virtual kings.

Donald Trump brags about being the person who killed Roe v Wade.

In a hint that he is for creating a Christian Nationalist Theocracy, Donald Trump has called on Christians to mobilize and vote so they will not have to do it again.

Donald Trump is a failed President who has been rated the worst President by our nation’s leading historians. He is ranked worse than Richard Nixon, Andrew Johnson (the first President to be impeached), and James Buchanan, the President who allowed the Civil War to start.

He called members of the military “suckers” and “losers” for paying the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

He should withdraw from the Presidential race.

Is this the person that is fit to lead the country?

Do you want this person in charge of the Justice Department apparatus now that the Supreme Court has granted him immunity for official acts? Is this person a role model for your children?

His own Vice Presidential Pick, J.D. Vance believes in a National Abortion Ban with no exceptions. He also feels women should stay in abusive marriages. He thinks adults who have no children should have less say in our Democracy.

We are in dark and dangerous times if the American People do not wake up and stop this nightmare from seeing daylight.

What part of this is hard for any of the American People to understand?

Also remember that Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Tim Walz, and the rest of the Democrats are fighting for freedom, public safety, clean energy, expanding the middle class, lifting up the poor, and moving the nation forward.

Get out and vote this November 5. The American Ideal and Democracy are at stake.

Please remember the below important dates to make sure your vote counts.
