Santorum: “Why would we ever vote for someone who’s just [as black as] Obama?”

by David Safier

Santorum continues his racist dog whistles directed at Romney. Last week it was this statement:

“We need contrasts,” Mr. Santorum said, “not just a paler shade of what we have.”

Now he has an ad up asking, "Why would we ever vote for someone who's just like Obama?" There are the issues of course, and then there are the visuals. Look how the black-and-white of Romey is darkened to be the same tonal range as Obama.

Actually, Obama is lightened up a bit, so Romney is a shade darker. The same thing here.

Anyone who's done any Photoshop knows how easy it is to manipulate tonal range.

Santorum likes to play the choir boy, but he's always had a vicious streak. Appeal to voters' racism? Why not?
