How can I pass this up? Pearce is being helped in his fight against the recall effort by his buddy-in-racism, Tom Tancredo. Pearce figures he can take corporate donations, even though the state says he can't.
[S]tate elections officials say Arizona law bans corporate and union donations to influence an election, and that includes opposing a recall effort.
But what matters the Rule of Law when it conflicts with the Rule of Russell?
The Recall folks who Pearce has called "Far-left anarchists" haven't taken any corporate cash because, according to Randy Parraz, "We're interested in playing by the rules." Damn those anarchists and their rules!
That's good, but this is hilarious. Tancredo's PAC that he's using to raise money to help Pearce is called Team America. If you didn't see the amazing puppets-on-a-string movie, Team America, by South Park's Trey Parker and Matt Stone, you missed one of the wonders of the film world. Their concept was to create a so-bad-it's-good American spy/war movie, as if it were written and directed by some overglandular teenagers who have more enthusiasm than they have knowledge or intelligence. Which kinda reminds me of people like Pearce and Tancredo.
The still at right is the bar where the evil terrorists hang out. But I think if I told Pearce and Tancredo they were all illegal immigrants and drug smugglers stopping for a drink at a Mexican cantina before invading the U.S., they'd believe me. Close enough.
