In her endorsement, State Representative (and Senate Candidate) Mitzi Epstein wrote:

I am endorsing Adrian Fontes because he has a proven track record of working as the leader of elections in one of the largest counties in the country…

…Adrian (as Maricopa County Recorder) showed the way to work with Republican colleagues to make major improvements. He showed he can create and execute a vision,  with an inclusive team to get things done.  Adrian led the way for major improvements in how we vote, how we track our ballots, and how we are kept informed about our ballots.

Under Adrian’s leadership, lines at the polls got shorter and in most places, there were no lines to vote on Election Day…

In short, Adrian got excellent results as County Recorder. He listened to the people of the County, and he collaborated with his team.

The Secretary of State must work with legislators and a wide range of stakeholders to get voting laws right. I want leaders who include the people of Arizona, who include many in their team, and who work transparently. I believe that Adrian Fontes is a team leader who exemplifies the principles of democracy for every voice to be heard. I believe that Adrian Fontes is a team leader who has shown he can reach across the aisle for great results that benefit all voters…”

In their endorsement, the National Democratic County Officials stated:

“Our elections are the ultimate foundation for our democracy. As we strive to advance voting rights and protections for election workers, we must elect leaders who will fight every day to make sure these principles are realized. Adrian Fontes is that kind of leader. Adrian provided exemplary service to Maricopa County as County Recorder and he’ll do so for all of Arizona as Secretary of State. There is no better candidate suited to take on proponents of “the Big Lie” and those who would seek to undermine our democracy. We proudly support Adrian Fontes for Arizona Secretary of State.”
