“Thank you, Supervisor Bracker. I want to thank Pastor Wade for that lovely invocation. Thank you to the American Legion Post 41 for hosting us here today. It was at this building where I announced my intention to seek this office so it’s fitting to be here today.
“While we are awaiting more results in other key races, I am confident in where we stand in ours based on the calls of the Associated Press. I look forward to official canvas results. Given the current margin of victory, I am comfortable saying we have won.
“Arizona, you have protected democracy and I proudly accept being elected as Arizona’s 21st Secretary of State.
“To my Mom, Dad, my partner Nicole, my daughters Adrianna, Isabella, Olivia – I know how hard this has been for all of you. I could not have done any of this without your love, your support, and patience. Thank you, for putting up with everything this past year and a half. I love you all.
“I want to thank my team, which was entirely Arizona based.

“Thank you to my union brothers and sisters, to the community leaders and organizations — CPLC on the ground and DASS in the air — who backed us, the elected officials who stuck their necks out for us, to the selfless Republican leaders and proud Independent officials who put country before party by endorsing this campaign. Your service to our Republic is inspiring.
“I want to send a thank you to all the election workers and staff. You faced down threats, harassment, and uncertainty all in the name of serving your community and country. There is nothing more admirable.
“Finally, a huge thank you to the voters who turned out, voted by mail, voted in person, and made their voices heard! Arizona, we must start the process of healing. It is time for the divisiveness, the partisanship, and the lies to end. As your Secretary of State, I will represent all Arizona voters – regardless of whether or not you voted for me, whether you’re a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent, a Libertarian. Because that’s what this country is about – putting aside our differences for the collective good.
“I will make it my mission to bring us closer together than where we have been during these last few years. The America of tomorrow can be a place where being an American is more important than your political party. We must embrace dignity for our fellow human beings and work to become Americans who respect our neighbors, regardless of how they vote. My fellow Arizonans, I promise to always honor and defend the ideal of fair and honest elections with the voters of Arizona and I will help reignite the flame of unity in our Republic. Thank you all so much. Let’s get to work.” |
