Knocking on doors to get signatures for nominating petitions and collecting $5 clean elections contributions may begin to fade in importance. Arizona now has a state website, E-Qual, where you can do both. Enter your driver's license number, date of birth and name, and you'll see the names of all the candidates whose petitions you can sign and give clean elections money to. There aren't many candidates listed yet, but I expect there will be more soon.
DYSLEXIC FINGERS HEADLINE NOTE: My original headline read, "Singing candidate petitions . . ." instead of "Signing candidate petitions . . ." until I just noticed and corrected it. Actually, it's not a bad idea. Imagine someone coming to your door and crooning, "For youuu, todaaaay, a candiate has come your waaaay . . ." Still, I have to draw the line at strip-o-petiti-grams. That wouldn't be right.
