Slashed Tires at Obama rally? It has nothing to do with McCain’s negative campaign

You can’t really blame McCain and Palin for the 30 cars that had their tires slashed outside of an Obama rally in North Carolina. (The story, by the way, is reported in the Fayetteville Observer, not some lefty blog.)

Someone slashed the tires of at least 30 vehicles parked outside the Crown Coliseum on Sunday during a rally for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, authorities said.

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating. The tires were cut while people were inside the Crown Coliseum listening to speeches, said Maj. E. Wright of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

The fact that McCain, Palin and their surrogates rile their base up to a fever pitch of hatred and fear — They’re anti-American! They love terrorists! They’re (gasp) socialists! — has nothing to do with it. How could it?
